15 new museums added
Throughout 2018, we have added 15 new air museums to our database, bringing the total number to 23. We personally visit each museum and take all the pictures ourselves. Our goal is to one day visit all aviation museums in the US, helping to preserve the aviation history along the way and to inspire new generations to pursue careers in aviation and aerospace engineering. You can browse the museum database using our interactive map or view them as a full list. Below are some of our favorite museums added in 2018:

Peterson Air & Space Museum
Colorado Springs, CO

USS Midway Museum
San Diego, CA

Western Museum of Flight
Torrance, CA

Erickson Aircraft Collection
Madras, OR
700 followers on Facebook
We now have 700 followers on our Facebook page with individual posts reaching thousands of viewers. We use Facebook primarily to publish our own content but to also share interesting articles and events from aerospace museums and other aviation sites. To reach new audiences we are also planning to start posting on Instagram.

We must admit we neglected our blog a little last year with only a handful of new posts published in the last 12 months. Our New Year’s resolution is to improve it in 2019! The most viewed posts from last year included the one about the restaurant in a former Boeing KC-97G Stratofreighter, closely followed by the gallery of photos from the 2017 Planes of Fame Air Show and 2017 March Air Reserve Base Air Show.

Thank you all for your likes, shares, and comments in 2018 and we hope you will continue to support us this year! In 2019 we are planning to at least double the number of aviation museums listed on AirMuseumGuide.com. Let us know if you have any other suggestions on how to improve our site.
